Blend Mode Exercise
For this exercise you may use your own image or 23.image.exercise.
1. On a blank empty layer set the correct blend mode and burn an area of your image. Name this layer, “burn”.
2. On a blank empty layer set the correct blend mode and dodge an area of your image. Name this layer, “dodge”.
3. On a blank empty layer set the correct blend mode and saturate areas of your image. Name this layer, “saturate”.
4. On a blank empty layer set the correct blend mode and change the color of something in your image. Name this layer, “color change”.
Optional:
In addition, you may also use any other tools or tricks we’ve learned so far to make your image more interesting.
Hints:
You may need to use Edit > Fade and/or change the opacity of your layers to make the image more appealing.
To scroll through different blend modes grab the move tool, hold down shift and tap the + or – keys.
Save as yourname.blend.psd and drop in classroom exercise drop box.
